Ken Friesen’s work is back at the Mudpuppy Gallery and he is being joined this month by artist Ruth Taylor.

Friesen’s “The Mudslinger” exhibit joins Taylor’s “Colours of Life” exhibit this month at the Dalhousie St. gallery.

“Mine is the first pottery display the Mudpuppy has had, hence the title,” said Friesen. “I’ve been doing pottery since 1969.”

Taylor said she has gotten back into doing oil and acrylic paintings. She said she started painting when she was in her 20’s, stopped when she had children, and has resumed painting in recent years.

“It’s been a pleasant experience,” she said.

Taylor also has authored “Grandma Flipped her Lid,” a book that is also on sale at the Mudpuppy Gallery.

Both artists are from Kingsville and both enjoy coming to the Mudpuppy Gallery. Taylor said “wonderful people run it,” while Friesen said he likes the size of the gallery.

“It’s intimate,” he said. “They have made me very welcome.”
