Special to the RTT

Last week St. Peter’s ACHS College School students went on their annual ski/snowboard trip to Barrie and Haliburton in search for snow.

After and long drive and stop off overnight in Vaughan/King, St. Peter’s ACHS students finally began to see some of the fluffy white stuff which they had been searching for. With much excitement students made their first stop in Barrie where they went cross-country skiing and snow shoeing at Hardwood Ski and Bike.

The following day students departed at 6 a.m. for Haliburton where they hooked up with former St. Peter’s ACHS students from Haliburton for a full day of skiing and snowboarding at Sir Sam’s. After a few lesson the kids cut loose on the hills. The skiing and snowboarding was awesome with no line ups to get on the ski lifts. On the return to trip to Amherstburg, St. Peter’s students were already planning their next ski/snowboard trip hoping to go to either Michigan or Quebec next year.
