Sails to See Tall Ship festival Labour Day weekend

Ships Ahoy – the time has come!

sails to see logoThis weekend marks the last stop on the “Tall Ships Challenge-Great Lakes 2013” tour before the epic re-enactment of the Battle of Lake Erie takes place in Put-In Bay, Ohio.

On Friday, Saturday and Sunday, Amherstburg and the surrounding area will play host to eight tall ships with an array of dockside festivities and deck tours. Two tall ships will be docked off of King’s Navy Yard Park in Amherstburg.

Tall ship 1812 replicas, Friends Goodwill and Lynx, will be the featured ships docked in Amherstburg, at one time an official ship building port during the War of 1812.
