Royal LePage Binder Real Estate coming to A’Burg

By Joel Charron

Royal LePage Binder Real Estate has grown to become one of the foremost real estate companies in Windsor/Essex County, is now coming to Amherstburg.

Frank Binder, broker of record, who has five offices in Windsor, Belle River, Tilbury, Kingsville and Tecumseh, said the move to Amherstburg is a natural fit for the real estate company.

“It’s the natural, logical spot for us to go,” said Binder. “The growth opportunities in Amherstburg are great. The town is wonderful and is becoming the next Niagara-on-the Lake and we certainly want to be a part of that community.”

Binder established Binder Real Estate Inc. in May 1985 after nine years of a successful sales career and three years as Windsor Manager and Southwestern Ontario District Manager for The Permanent.

The business grew and in October, 1995 Binder Real Estate Inc. acquired the assets of the Windsor Branch of Royal LePage Real Estate Services Ltd. to become one of the earliest franchises in the Royal LePage franchise network.

July 2008 marked the merger of Royal LePage Liberty Realty and Royal LePage Binder Real Estate and the establishment of a new Tecumseh branch making Royal LePage Binder Real Estate one of the largest real estate brokerages in the area

The Canadian real estate franchise offers services in residential and new home sales, commercial and industrial sales and leasing, agricultural sales, development and investment opportunities, complimented by mortgages and appraisal services.

According to Binder, Royal LePage Binder Real Estate was involved in roughly 50 transactions in the Amherstburg area in 2010.

Royal LePage Binder Real Estate brings a “great alternative” to the competition.

Binder said although there is a financial risk that comes long with opening an office in Amherstburg, it shows how committed Royal LePage Binder Real Estate is to making an impact in the community.

‘It shows the kind of long-term commitment we want to make,” said Binder. “We want to make a long term commitment to Amherstburg, we’re not looking to do this on a short term basis.”

The office will be located at 80 Richmond St.; right beside the Amherstburg Post Office and at first will feature only two agents.

“We’re going to start with two people and go from here,” said Binder. “This is a good place to start.”

Binder also mentioned sales people that work in their branch can work in a home plan basis as opposed to having an office space in the office. However the sales people will have access to the office and all the services they provide if they choose to work from home.

Royal LePage Binder Real Estate is set to open their Amherstburg office on Oct. 1.

“It’s nice to see us grow and wanting to take on the challenges of a new location,” said Binder. “We believe in Amherstburg and we see growth opportunities. It is going to be a great place to do business.”
