École St.-Jean Baptiste got into the holiday spirit just before Christmas and students got to get some breakfast at the same time.
The local French Catholic elementary school held a pancake breakfast just before the Christmas holidays. Members of the school’s parent council volunteered to prepare the pancake and fruit breakfast followed by a visit from Santa Claus, who went from class to class visiting with the students.
“We look forward to it all year,” said Laura Gauthier, president of the parent council. “The kids love it. This is one of the parent council events that we look forward to all year.”
Not only did the parent council get involved, but so did staff from the school and even the Conseil Scolaire Catholique Providence, the French Catholic school board.
Superintendent Jean-Paul Gagnier was on hand to help make pancakes the week before Christmas.
