Minor hockey families voting on new team name

Minor hockey parents and families in the area have voted on a new team nickname for the newly amalgamated organization that hits the ice next season.
The Amherstburg Minor Hockey Association will combine with the Erie North Shore Minor Hockey Association and be known as Lake Erie Minor Hockey.
Families had their choice of Kraken, Hawks or North Stars as the new logo and nickname.
Results of the vote were not available at press time.
