The Amherstburg Admirals will be hitting the ice soon for some meaningful game action.
The local Jr. C hockey team plays an exhibition game in Lakeshore Sept. 6 and a week later they return to the Atlas Tube Centre to open the season against the defending Schmalz Cup champion Canadiens.
The home opener is the following night, Sept. 14, against the Dresden Kings at the Libro Centre.
There will be 15 Saturday home games starting at 7:30 p.m. and six Sunday home games starting at 6:30 p.m.
The PJHL Stobbs Division season is 42 games for each team.
