A motivational speaker brought his message to Anderdon Public School recently.

David Major, a motivational speaker from Toronto, visited the local elementary school with Major being a former high school student leader who put in over 6,000 hours of time in extra curricular activities during his high school days.

Major has been performing high energy, motivational speeches since 2000 to students in Canada, the U.S. and China. He spoke to Anderdon’s Grade 5,6 and 7,8 classes about how important it is to not always rely on others to motivate and strengthen you, but how you can be your own motivator. Not only did he encourage and teach the kids about ways to motivate themselves but also touched on how everyone has a special talent.

“Learning doesn’t stop when you leave the classroom, it’s a 24/7 experience. So it doesn’t matter what your talent is, all you have to do is find it,” he told the students.

Major also had kids participate in various activities to show them how his theme of “motivate yourself” comes into play.
