A local realtor has captured some prestigious awards – some from his own company and some from the industry itself.

Brad Bondy of Re/Max Preferred Realty Ltd. was named a recipient of the Top 100 Individual Worldwide award and also captured the Re/Max Lifetime Achievement Award. Bondy has also won the Chairman’s Award for the second straight year and has also won a Re/Max top sales transaction award for the Atlantic Canada region for the fourth straight year.

Bondy has also been named to the Re/Max Hall of Fame to boot.

The Top 100 Individual Worldwide Award was the award that came as a surprise to Bondy, who received the awards recently at a convention in Las Vegas.

“That was the big one,” he said. “That was the one I didn’t know about.”

Bondy said he has been the top agent overall in Windsor-Essex County the last couple of years and Re/Max’s top agent the last five years. He credited the bulk of his success to his family and the staff that works with him.

“I attribute my success to my wife of 26 years, Luisa, my daughters Jessica and Sarah, my team including my personal assistant Heather Harber, my licensing assistant Diane Schultz and my mom Betty Bondy, who helps out in the office,” he said.

The other main reason for his success, he added, was due to his clients.

“They’ve been loyal. I pride myself on loyalty,” said Bondy. “I get a lot of repeat business and referrals.”

Noting he has a lot of brothers and sisters, he said they help him as well.

“We’re all really, really close,” he said. “People are constantly lobbying for me. The only reason I’m successful is the people around me.”

Bondy said he also prides himself on his work ethic as well.

“I always make time for any questions anyone wants to ask ,” said Bondy. “I always have time for everybody. There’s not a time when I don’t make time.”

Volunteer work is also something Bondy enjoys. His volunteer service includes being the lead announcer at the Miracle League of Amherstburg and coaching the General Amherst girls slo-pitch team.

“Even though I eat, sleep and breathe real estate, I always make time for volunteer work,” said Bondy. “My parents always taught me to treat people the way you want to be treated.”

Bondy joked that he is also “close friends with Santa Claus.”
