Kelsey Joncas scored twice for the Lady Gens and Katie Breault added a single. With the win, the Lady Gens record improves to 1-3-1 on the season.

“We’ve been trying to work as a team and create chances,” said Joncas. “Each game we’ve improved and done a little bit better.”

Joncas said she believes the win will help give the squad some added confidence as the season moves forward.

“It’s all uphill from here, hopefully,” she added.

Lady Gens coach Brandi Plantus said she was pleased with her team’s performance on the field against Herman.

“It was awesome,” said Plantus. “We played really well today. We had much more offense and the defense tightened up. It was a pleasure to watch today.”

Plantus mentioned the team has improved from the previous week and added that the Lady Gens are doing a better job incorporating what they learn in practice into games.

“Every game, they are starting to get better,” she said.
