Home invasion being investigated


Amherstburg police are currently investigating a daytime home invasion that occurred on Forest Hill Dr. in Amherstburg.

The incident, reported late in the afternoon May 14, saw a female allegedly enter the residence and begin to take items from the residents. Amherstburg police state the alleged suspect was confronted by the homeowner when a struggle ensued with the suspect escaping out the front door and into an awaiting car.

Police are looking for a 2011 or 2012 royal blue Chevy Impala driven by a shorter statured male, balding, with “a Mediterranean complexion” and a female passenger approximately late 50’s to early 60’s, about 5’4”, short hair with red dye in it, wearing a black hoodie, blue jeans and runners.

The vehicle was last seen heading eastbound on Forest Hill Dr.
