The Amherstburg Lions Club recently made a $1,000 donation towards the Amherstburg build currently in progress by Habitat for Humanity Windsor-Essex.

In so doing, the Lions Club has joined the many contributors and volunteers who have pitched in to ensure the success of the first Amherstburg build by Habitat for Humanity.

The major fundraising in recent years by the Amherstburg Lions Club has been the Carter Shows carnival held each May at Centennial Park.

“We are pleased to give back to the community in this manner, to such a project which will have long-lasting benefits,” said Amherstburg Lions Club president Nancy Greenaway
