Amherstburg Girl the New Face of Fruitsations

Rebekah Davis, 7, is the winner of the New Face of Mott’s Fruitsations contest and will be featured in their upcoming print advertising campaign.

Davis was entered into the contest held on Facebook by her parents George and Rosemary Davis.  Of the over 6,000 contestants, Davis was the winner.  The selection process was a combination of online votes, over 46,000 votes were cast, and the companies’ own judges.

The Davis family went on an all expenses paid trip to Toronto for the photo shoot and was able to spend some time seeing local attractions.  The photo shoot day was long, but she still enjoyed her time.

Seven-year-old Rebekah Davis is the new face of Mott’s Fruitsations.

“It was about four hours,” said Rebekah.  “The guy who did my hair, John, had a lot of stuff that made me laugh.”

Mott’s also made sure to treat her like a star when she was traveling to and from Toronto.

“When we got to the train station (in Toronto) they picked us up in a limo and we got to drive all the way back in a limo to home.  It was fun,” said Rebekah  “And when we got to the train station my grandma and my cousin were waiting to take my picture, but I didn’t want to come out.”

Her father George was the one who first noticed the campaign.

“I saw the pamphlet in the grocery store one day and so we took a picture and sent it in on Facebook,” said George.

He has also made sure to tell friends and family of his daughter’s accomplishment.

“You just can’t help but tell everybody as a parent,” said George.

Rebekah is looking forward to the arrival of the first magazine with her advertisement in it, as her friends don’t all believe her yet.

“Some of my friends don’t believe me yet, especially the boys,” Rebekah said.
