The General Amherst boys baseball and girls slo-pitch team each boasted a pair of all-stars for the past season.
Colton Taylor, a pitcher and outfielder with the Bulldogs baseball team, made the boys team while Josh Neufeld was an honorable mention. On the girls side, Maddie Turner won league MVP while Megan Wismer was also an all-star.

“I didn’t really expect it,” said Taylor. “I was proud, I guess.”
Neufeld said he was honoured to be named an honorable mention.
Turner said she didn’t really expect the girls MVP award.
“It’s pretty cool,” she said. “It did catch me out of the blue. I didn’t expect it. When (teacher/coach Nicole) Maxey told me about it, it was nice to hear.”
Wismer said her all-star designation also caught her by surprise.
“It feels good,” she added.
